SEH America Inc. Low Voltage Technician in Vancouver, Washington


  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility alarm systems.

  • Work with manufacturing and process engineering in the installation or repair of the alarm systems and wiring required in the production process.

  • Make periodic or special inspections of the premises to determine if repair work is necessary.

  • Work from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.

  • Rebuild components / equipment as required.

  • Available to be on-call within a rotation to keep the facility supported 24/7.


  • Minimum 3 years related work experience.

  • Knowledge of electronic, electromechanical, and microprocessor based instrumentation/control systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend schematics, use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and programmers.

  • Capable of working with vendors on parts issues and repair procedures/needs.

  • Committed to acquiring new technical skills and process knowledge over time.

  • Able to act as a resource to operators and other technicians about equipment and process changes.

  • Solid knowledge of Windows Office products.


  • NICET I (Fire Alarm / Special Hazard) certification

  • Washington State EL 06 (Low Voltage License)

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or related field a plus

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment


Facilities Technicians work in both indoor and outdoor facility areas. Technicians may be exposed to excessive noise levels and may work in proximity to a vast array of gases and chemicals, including acids and caustics. They may be exposed to adverse or extreme weather conditions. Occasionally work will be performed in a clean room environment wearing clean room suite, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves. A high degree of safety consciousness is required for all positions at SEH America. Use of personal protective equipment and compliance with company safety and procedures is required.
