SEH America Inc. Low Voltage Technician in Vancouver, Washington
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility alarm systems.
Work with manufacturing and process engineering in the installation or repair of the alarm systems and wiring required in the production process.
Make periodic or special inspections of the premises to determine if repair work is necessary.
Work from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
Rebuild components / equipment as required.
Available to be on-call within a rotation to keep the facility supported 24/7.
Minimum 3 years related work experience.
Knowledge of electronic, electromechanical, and microprocessor based instrumentation/control systems.
Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend schematics, use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and programmers.
Capable of working with vendors on parts issues and repair procedures/needs.
Committed to acquiring new technical skills and process knowledge over time.
Able to act as a resource to operators and other technicians about equipment and process changes.
Solid knowledge of Windows Office products.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
NICET I (Fire Alarm / Special Hazard) certification
Washington State EL 06 (Low Voltage License)
Associates Degree in Electronics or related field a plus
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Facilities Technicians work in both indoor and outdoor facility areas. Technicians may be exposed to excessive noise levels and may work in proximity to a vast array of gases and chemicals, including acids and caustics. They may be exposed to adverse or extreme weather conditions. Occasionally work will be performed in a clean room environment wearing clean room suite, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves. A high degree of safety consciousness is required for all positions at SEH America. Use of personal protective equipment and compliance with company safety and procedures is required.
